Analysing YOUR action film poster

Save your poster as a JPEG document and insert it onto a Power Point slide. Answer the questions below around your poster giving as much detail as you can. 


Who is the target audience of your film?
(Max is a 17. He is studying his A levels at college. He enjoys....etc)

What information does your poster give about the GENRE of your film?
Consider: Key image including camera shot/angle; Lighting (high or low-key/artificial or ambient); Chromatic (colour scheme) How do these influence meaning? Is it a sub genre or hybrid? How do we know?

What information does your poster give about the NARRATIVE of your film?
 Consider: Representation of characters & stereotypes used; Title of film & tagline (slogan); does your poster create an enigma? How & why?


Explain HOW you made your film poster?
Consider: Layout & original or found images; Photoshop tools used & how these helped to create meaning.

What improvements would a professional film promotional company make on your film poster?
Consider: What would be done better; how could other companies be used to promote your product

Creating a PItch for a new action film - EXTENDED PROJECT 1



Focus:

To be creative in the consideration of a new action film for the 'mass-audience'

TASK:

You will create a pitch for a new ACTION film:

PLOT - 100 words - what happens - but NOT the full story (Example here:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1298650/plotsummary)

CHARACTER PROFILES - 150 words - Main character and supporting character (Physical appearance, accent, sayings, personality, dress sense, etc) - include photos
